2013

In the spring of 2013, I began volunteering at a soup kitchen in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. Each time I went there, I’d place a sheet of watercolor paper underneath the racks where used cups were placed during the meal, to be marked by drips of coffee and other drinks. This image is a photographic negative of one of these “paintings.”
